The two-day helicopter joyride, jointly organised by the Edappal Indoor and shuttle badminton club and Alona Silks Edappal, will begin in Edappal on January-19 and 20th during the famous Kulankara festival time.
In a joint statement issued here on Thursday, Mrs Jessy Jyothivasan, Owner of Edappal Indoor stadium, and Mr.Anwar, Director ,Alona silks said the Alona joyride was part of a project to mobilise funds for various charity projects in the district.
Mrs Jessy Jyothivasan said the idea was to provide an opportunity to people of Central kerala, especially women and children, to experience the joy and thrill of a helicopter ride above the picturesque Edappal,Manur lake,Biyyam bridge,Arabian sea,Chamvravattam bridge etc. The joyride would cost Rs.2500 per person,.There are differant packages starting from 1990 Rs,for kulankara festival watching, 4000Rs for VIP tickets, 12000 and 7990 Rs for family tickets.
About 200 persons would be able to have the joyride every day and a six-seater French-made helicopter had been hired at a rate of Rs.1 lakh per hour for the two-day sponsored programme. Some Celebrity guests are expected to flag off the Helecopter

You can fly from Edappal and watch beautiful destinations of Biyyam bridge and tourist spot, Ponnani Nagaram, township, Light house, Radar station, Beach, Azhimugham, Views of Chamravattam bridge and Manoor lake.
2.Kulankara Festival watch tickets- Rs 2000 ( few more tickets available)
Fly to See the Kulankara festival from top. Experience the beautiful festival from top.
3.VIP ticket with free snacks- 4000Rs
Fly to any destinations desired by the VIP group including the own house plot.
4. Family tickets-7999 Rs For Two Adults and two kids for watching 8 Km areal distance from Edappal Helipad.
5. Family ticket-12000 Rs Three adults and three kids for watching any destination( 10 Km areal distance from Edappal including your house plot).
6. Travel from Kochin- Edappal -Rs 10000/-
7. Evening session for kids- 100 Rs per tickets for photo shooting only.
General Terms and conditions
1.
All Guests, including children and
infants, must present valid identification at check-in. It is your
responsibility to ensure you have the appropriate travel documents at all
times.
2.
All Foreign Nationals/Non-Indian
Nationals/NRI need to carry their Passport with valid documents for their
travel to Port Blair(Andaman and Nicobar Island).All NRI must have PIO or
Passport with valid documents.
3.
Check-in starts "2 hours"
before scheduled departure, and closes 45 minutes prior to the scheduled
departure time. Guests are requested to report at least 2 hours prior to
departure time, at SpiceJet Check-in counters.
4.
There is no Cancellation of
Helicopter safari tickets .Itinerary printouts with the name of the Guest and
identity proof will be checked at the time of entering the terminal and at the
check-in counter. Guests who do not have the same are are not allowed to enter
the check in area
5.
Schedule is subject to change and
regulatory authority approvals and weather conditions
6.
Any spicy promotional / auction fare
purchased in conjunction with fare
cannot be cancelled or changed.
7.
Where bad weather or instances
beyond helicopter operators control has
resulted in your flight being cancelled or delayed, but will not be liable in
any way for the delay or cancellation.
8.
Operators are not responsible for any
losses incurred by our Guests during the jeourney.The consumption of alcohol is
prohibited on all helicopter flights.
9.
Helicopter operators reserves the
right to refuse passage to any passenger that is under the influence of alcohol
or drugs, or where it believes it is necessary for the safety and comfort of
you or other Guests or for the protection of property.
10. Smoking is not permitted on any where in aircraft
or landing area.
11. We highly recommends that you safegaurd all
valuables (cameras, jewelry, money, electronics, perishables, etc.) and place
them in your carry-on. Operators will not accept responsibility for these
items.
In case, the
passenger decides to carry any valuables in their checked-in baggage against
the above advice; they will do this at their own risk and shall not hold responsible for any pilferage / damage / etc.
to such valuables. They shall lay no claim against organizers or operators, its
employees, agents, successors etc in this regard.
12. Guests will be subjected to a security screening
prior to boarding the aircraft. This is mandatory per Indian Regulations.
13. The company reserves to itself the right, without
assigning any reason, to cancel or delay the commencement or continuance of the
flight or to alter the stopping place or to deviate from the route of the
journey or to change the type of aircraft in use without thereby incurring any
liability in damages or otherwise to the passengers or any other person on any
ground whatsoever. The Company also reserves to itself the right to refuse to
carry any person whom it considers unfit to travel or who in the opinion of the
company may constitute risks to the aircraft or to the persons on board.
14. If at any stage it is found that the aircraft with
the booked load or passengers will be over loaded, the Company will have the
right to decide which passengers or articles shall be off-loaded and such
decision shall be binding.
15. The Company is not liable for any loss or damage
occasioned by delay in the carriage by air of passengers or baggage. Receipt
without complaint of registered baggage on the termination of the journey shall
be prima facie evidence that the baggage has been delivered correctly and in
good condition.
16. Children under the age of 12 require adult
accompaniment at all times. Company will accept children aged between 5-12
years traveling alone as unaccompanied children (as per UNMR inventory). Guests
should complete and sign an Unaccompanied Minor Form at the departing areas.
17. Company shall not be liable for any damage(s)
resulting from acts of error or omission in timetables or other published
schedules, representations made by its employees, agents or representatives
with regard to the date and/or time of departure/ arrival or operation of any
flight except in cases where it is proved that the intention is to cause such
damage.
18. Infants under the age of 2 years, and not occupying
a seat, are subject to a fee of Rs. 1000.
19. In case of any accidents, the local organizers are
not responsible for any kind of re imbursement .All passengers are covered with
insurance by the Helecopter company itself.
20. Guests are required to report 2 hours before the scheduled departure time to collect the
boarding pass. The time of jeourney canot be shifted. Ticket value will not be
refunded for the late comers.
21. All the ticket should be reconfirmed with the
Organizers on or before 18th January 2013.
